RAM Upgrade Suggestions

Alright, this place has helped me successfully build two PCs. Now it's time to upgrade one I built 4 years ago. Stats:
cpu: i5 750
mobo: gigabyte p55-usb3
gpu: radeon hd 5770 1gb
ram: gskill 2x2gb ddr3 1600
psu: antec 650 watt
hdd: samsung something or other

All in an antec illusion case. I'd like to upgrade to 8gb RAM (maybe a SSD if I have the cash). I'd like to spend about 60-70 tops (less money is fine though) on the RAM (shipped). SSDs just throw out anything and if I get $200-300 extra (I know they aren't cheap), I'll take a look. Suggestions? I prefer newegg.com. And thanks!

you don't need ram, you need a video card.

what do you use this machine for? how much room have you used on your HD?

I've 200gb free on the hd. And yeah, I know I need a new gpu (or two). And probably a mobo. And cpu. But mostly a psu. They aren't cheap though. I do some moderate gaming. Crysis 1 runs alright on high.

You don't need a new PSU, it should be fine.

Hold off on a SSD and invest in a new GPU

Haha, I meant gpu. Don't know why I typed psu. Well that's actually a reasonable price. I like this site you use mattius. Also, you guys think the 7850 would last me another 3 or so years of mid to high mid gaming?

7850 will probably last 2-3 years, they overclock like crazy. If you really wanna last 3 years, look into a 7870.

I plan to do a new build in 3 years so my hope is the new gpu and RAM will help the rest of my system last a little longer. Thanks so far for all the good insight, I'm trying to learn enough to be self sufficient. Not there yet, ha.

The total comes to $243.53 plus it comes with 4 decent games. I only ask because I want to make sure these components will work with mine and that the brands are okay. I know so very little.
