Hello everyone,

My friend is selling me an ASUS GTX 650 ti 2GB graphics card.

I was wondering if I can add this card in without upgrading my other hardwares.

My current computer has:

1) i3 540 @ 3.06 ghz
2) 450GB HDD
3) 4GB RAM
4) 600w for the PSU

I'm planning to upgrade it from my old Geforce 8400gs. My motherboard has a PCI-E 2.0 1x16 slot. I am running Windows 7 Home 64-bits.

I am most concerned about my CPU because I heard i3 is the lowest end of all CPUs. Anyone have any suggestions about what I should do or would the GPU work just fine with my current build.

Also, would I be able to play bf3, crysis 3, guildwars 2, call of duty: black ops 2, and hitman: absolution on max setting with this build?

Thank you very much!

650 ti is a middle class GPU, i3 is also a middle class CPU so your good to go with that. but whats your resolution? if the screen is 1080p then youd have to settle with middle- to high, if low then you can run pretty much every game on high.

My resolution is 1920 x 1080 an aspect ratio of 16:9 and I use a dvi cable for my monitor.

Would my games lag if I put my settings on high with that resolution?

yeah if you play games at those res with high settings it will most probably lag. you have to lower your resolution/ settings to get playable frame rate with that card.

yes 4gb i is enough. games normally use 3GB of ram. so you have a spare 1gb.
and 600 watt PSU is more than enough as long as it is from a good brand
