Left speaker not playing.// using amplifier.

hi. im using an bass guitar amplifier as my speaker on the pc. i have it properly connected, and it is working great, only that windows 7 recognizes it as only 1 front speaker. the right one. everything i would listen to i hear as only listening through 1 speaker. im not sure but i think it started happening when/after i tried a 5.1 surround system on my pc. any suggestions on how a 1 jack would be recognized as both front speakers?.

Firstly I assume you have converted the 3.5mm jack output of your PC to the 1/4" jack of your bass amp by some means.
Most musical instrument amps that I am aware of are mono.If you want both stereo channels through your amp you will need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo jack at one end and two 1/4" jacks at the other which you will need to plug into different input channels on your amp.

or even 1 1/4" jack, and two of 3.5mm stereo jacks, could do? will try. ty
