Building A Custom Liquid Cooled PC for 1st time! Need Help!

I'm planning on buying a new rig for gaming(high end) in the start of coming month.

I've chosen i5 3570k over i7 3770k for it's price/performance in gaming. For the MoBo, I'll most probably go with ASRock Extreme6.

Still torn between GTX 670, GTX 680 and HD 7970 GHz.

I live in Kolkata, India. So, I don't have many brands to choose from. From my bit of research, I reckon, Zotac is the most available manufacturer for nVidia GTX cards (both 670 & 680). The prices are also much much higher. Zotac GTX 680 2GB costs $641 (35,778/- INR), The Gigabyte one is also identical in pricing.

Zotac GTX 670 2GB price is $520 (29,050/- INR). The 4GB one is $573 (32,000/- INR).

Whereas, I can get Sapphire Vapor-X HD 7970 GHz 3GB in $594 (33,170/- INR).

I can't decide which one to choose. The GTX 680 seems to be outta my budget.

I'll do SLI/XFire in the 2 or 3 years. One 1920*1080 monitor for good. No intention for 3D gaming.
Help me in the graphics card section.

I'll overclock the CPU and GPU like a crazy nerd. So, I'm opting for custom loop liquid cooling systems rather than Air coolers or even closed loop coolers (I was also looking Corsair H100i). But It leaves the Graphics card without cooling.

I know, I need minimum two thick rads (one 360 and one 240) and pump as strong as Swiftech MCP655. I also need a case to fit all of them internally.

But, I can't get any liquid cooling products in India. I have to ship it from U.S.. Sidewindercomputers.com does international shipping. I've checked it could cost me around $150 to ship to India.

I've a max $600 budget for cooling. The hefty shipping charge leaves only $450 for the purchase.

I also fell for custom cooling for the aesthetics.

But, would it be worth it to ship the parts to India? Also the warranty will be of no use. If any part does not work (I've heard the stories most about the pumps), I'll have to send it back to U.S..

I need detailed advice on this.

One more point. If I shop all parts from U.S. sites, like Amazon or Newegg(The prices are really cheap with respect to India) and use Forwarding service like myus.com or shipito.com to ship to India, will the warranties be valid? (Like Intel, Asus, Corsair and many other copanies have their branches here 'cause if there's a DOA, it'll be indeed a nightmare!). In this case, I'll buy cabinets and monitors from my place though as they are real heavy and take a big part in the shipping weightand so, the shipping charge. I've no idea how much weight it would be with all the components.

Or, should I settle with purchasing parts from local stores(The prices are f*cking annoying)??

I need someone to give me detailed advice. Thanks in advance.

Best solution

Hey my friend.
I am also from India.
U don't need anything to buy from US. U will get everything here. I m from Punjab I know about the difference of prices between US and here.
According to me go & check local stores, go & check every computer wholesaler shop I m sure u will get everything what u want or right price. Shopping from ur local stores will be best for ur warranty & also for if any problem comes in ur pc.
But if u don't get right price then u can visit Delhi . I m 110% sure u will get everything wt u want on right price. You don't need to go to everywhere and confirm the price just search in Google phone no. of computer wholesaler shops in ur area or anywhere else u can get price on phone and make a list.
GPU - Asus gtx 670 top edition is available here so u get that GPU. This GPU is best than any other GPU & also other company like zotak, etc.
Pc case- cm storm Stryker I had chosen for my build. This is also best case for everything like sli or crossfire and also water cooling.
Good luck my friend collect everything from here & collect best.

Do you think, I can get custom water cooling parts in India? Sounds too sarcastic!! Some closed loops are available. But I don't think I'll go with that.

Anyways, I'll be glad to know your water cooling setup if you share.

$600 for a nice CPU and GPU build is a very realistic price. I am building one for my dad right now it is a little more than that, but I have a lot of things on it that make the build nice and easy to work on for later upgrades and parts replacement, but it is not necessary for the loop to function well. I have been doing water cooling for some time now and have enjoyed it from day one. The hardware that I would be looking at is what type of card is compatible with the water blocks available for purchase, what boards work well with water blocks attached to the CPU on them. But this is only my opinion of course get what you like, but I like function over form any day.
have a look at the build I am working on now for some ideas, if you like.

Thanks. But you know, finding components in India is way more difficult than in U.S. The price is a lot higher. :(

Well, if cost is a issue than save up and buy every thing at once. Add the 150 for shipping and be done with it. I have had things sent in from japan and at $120 shipping cost, so I know how you feel, but it hurts less if the purchase is substantial. Lets say $600+ for the parts to make it a nice loop even $1000 on parts is not hard to get to, after that the $150 for shipping doesn't look so bad.

I don't have full water cooling system. I just used corsair h 60 CPU water cooling . It is enough for me I can overclock when I need. I play games 10 hours in one day in holidays. I never need full watercooling solution. But if u need water cooling for whole systems you can say any good pc parts wholesaler for a water cooling . He can afford from anywhere what type of components u ordered without any lot of shipping cost go Delhi there u will get everything of any brand at right price no shipping cost. Just try my friend if u try u will get everything. Here in India only one thing matters and that is TRY.

I'm not doing Air cooling anyway. If not custom, I'll better go with closed loops like you, @princejeet. Maybe Corsair H100i or something like that. But, I had and still have a dream for a custom liquid cooled PC.
