As to your bios date, the cmos battery is flat and needs replacing. Each time you turn off the mains power, the Date/Time reverts to the factory default and the primary boot device reverts to factory default, as do all your bios settings.
You can change the defaults but don't turn off the mains power to the PC, to continue and maintain those setting changes so that it allows you time to acquire a bios battery.
