Hello, after 3 years with my old graphics card its time for a change. now i want a graphics card that will be future proofed for 3 years if not longer. i will also upgrade my cpu to the new 'haswell' chip. I am willing to pay 750-850 at most.
The gtx 780 was released in Australia this week i am wondering if this is a wise idea to purchase a 780 or should i buy another type of card? or should i put off buying for a while?

(i love graphics and i love gamingi)

Solution
Listen, for the haswell series processors, you will need a new socket which means a new motherboard.

I would upgrade to a new motherboard that supports haswell when it comes out and then buy a 780.

gtx 770 IS gtx 680 with a slightly overclocked memory..

GTX770 has average 10% increase over the GTX 680 from a reference GTX 770.
Consider around +5/+10 % improvement in factory overclocked models based on their clock frequencies.

So, 470 to 770 is a huge upgrade..:D
