My Z77 chip gets very hot over 50 degrees.
But I didnt have a graphics card in right now.

specs:
CPU: i5 3.4 GHz quad core WATERCOOLED
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-in deluxe PSU: 750 W
Case: bitfenix prodigy 2 case fans

I did not think it is normal.
what do you think?

Solution
Almost every chipset gets hot. Some more then others. Most can run around the 100 °C.
Nothing strange with yours. You are safe.

From the offical Intel spec sheet......

Table 3-1. PCH Thermal Specifications
Tj,max 108 °C

Its just running Windows Home Premium 64-bit and Chrome Right now but later when i have my GPU i Will play Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3 and etc.
Z77 Chip 80-95 degrees around in the case/nearby 22 degrees.
Is the thermal paste/grease cured? I dont know but my motherboard is bought for about 2 weeks ago.
I have a fan at the top blowing out of the case and I have one in the front that blows in case.

I disagree with RandomFox; a difference of 70 degrees Celsius between ambient and the CPU, is a significant cooling problem. I would first disassemble the cooler, clean the old thermal grease off with rubbing alcohol, and reapply the thermal grease. I would also orient the fan to push the air ousside of the case, and even consider adding a second fan to make a push/pull cooler. A difference of 10-15 degrees at idle is normal, and even 50-60 degrees in gaming is OK. But a 70 degree difference, unless under severe stress is troublesome.

Thought he wasn't talking about the CPU but the chipset chip. If it would get much hotter then the around 50C he said, then he'd need to use more case fans to extract the heat out of the case. Not sure if there is another cooler around for that chipset. Earth351 said he had an Asus P8Z77-in deluxe. That one can't be found. Has to be an Asus P8Z77-V deluxe or a Asus P8Z77-i deluxe. To put another chipset cooler on the Asus P8Z77-i deluxe would seem to be almost impossible because the chipset is really close to the CPU. Or it has to be a watercooled block.
