Ok, so I read forum upon forum but I'm still not 100% clear.

I just bought a 120GB SSD. I am going to do a fresh install of the OS onto the SSD and only put few programs on there such as curse client and an anti-virus.

I have one 250GB HDD that I am using now and I also have an external drive. My question is how to I get everything off the HDD to the external, format my HDD, and then freshly re-install everything onto the HDD minus the OS so it can be my slave drive and have the SSD and HDD work hand in hand?

Thank you in advance

Solution
1. Copy all your personal files to the external drive. documents, pictures, music, Firefox or IE bookmarks, etc.
2. Ensure you have all the install files/disks for your applications, and all the drivers for your hardware.
3. Now you can start the install process. See this thread, starting at "Part 3 Installing OS"
4. Once you have Windows installed and working correctly, you can then install your other stuff wherever you like.
