I have an odd problem I ran into at work. All my home machines are Windows 7 so I'm a little rusty when it comes to xp.
What I need is to share the CD-ROM drive and a folder on C: of the Windows 7 machine with a windows XP Pro machine.
I enabled file sharing and disabled password protected sharing on the windows 7 machine. The shares are name CD-ROM and HOME.
From the XP computer I can access the CD-ROM share no problem. But keep getting a message saying I don't have permission to access the HOME share. The permissions for the HOME folder are "EVERYONE" the same as the CD-ROM share.
Am I just missing something simple?
