Hey guys i have a Intel Core2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz, and i was just wondering how many hard drives i can run of it? I have 2 atm, 1 is for windows and the other is for my media. My media one is full now so i was hoping to get a new one but am unsure if ill be able to have 3 running? Also if i can run 3 what size do i get 2.5" or 3.5" ?

Would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out, Thanks!!

As many as SATA ports your motherboard has. Post your motherboard model and we will tell you. What size is your hard drive? you can run 3 almost in any computer.

2.5" drives are usually for laptops. You would want 3.5" drives. As to how many it depends on your motherboard not your processor. With that processor you probably have both SATA and IDE ports on the board. So you could use either or both although SATA is faster. What model is the board?

how many hard drives you can use is directly proportional to the amount con controller ports on the motherboard. if all of them are full, you can buy an add in controller card to add more

So you have 8 SATA ports and an IDE connector. So you can run 8 x SATA hard drives ( optical drives also use these so 7 hard drives is more likely ) and 2 x hard drives on the older IDE interface. Those would have to be older IDE drives and use the old ribbon cables.

So 10 hard drives total or 9 and an optical drive. You should be fine. :)
