Hi, I am looking to pretty much build a fresh machine ithe coming weeks/ months and wanted everyone's opinion on the parts I have looked at so far.

The machine will be mainly used for gaming/photoshop and media.

Ok here we go.....

Corsair CX750 PSU
Asus M5a78l MoBo
AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 core
8GB Corsair Vengence
1TB WD 10000rpm hdd
120gb Samsung 840 series ssd
Gigabyte 7950 3gb gpu

I will also be adding my old hard drive to the system too as an extra little bit of backup storage.

If anyone has an opinion or spot any potential disaster areas please let me know it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

PSU is overkill, motherboard is out of date, you don't need a 10k RPM HDD, I would drop the SSD and get a better GPU, you also need a case. Where are you from? Do you need a monitor? Do you need an OS?

i would not buy a GTX680. far too expensive and Radeon out performs Nvidia by a large margin. the 7970 is unstoppable by anything in todays standards. i would go for the 8350 and a Gigabyte 990fx w/ 16g of ram. the motherboard is the most important part of a build. dollar for dollar AMD is the best, unless you just want bragging rights.

GTX680 is not worth the price tag with the AMD solutions out there and much more powerful

@airborn824 I don't see much point in getting a 990fx motherboard unless you're doing stupid overclocking.

Well we can find you a build that will run games for £350, but the more money you spend the higher FPS you'll get, that logic is true in all cases except Intel CPUs. The build can easily be fitted to the budget, but it would be nice to know what it is. Wait, when you say "I've already got monitors" how meny are you talking about? Are you planning on running Eyefinity? What's there resolution?

I would say water cooling but your case doesn't have the double 120mm or 140mm fan mounts, this air cooler is almost as good as the double 120mm water cooling kits, and a lot better than the single 120mm kits.

Im looking to spend no more than about £700.

I've already got a OS, antec 300 case and a cooler master evo that I can use.

I've got two monitors and im not looking to run eyefinity.
