Hello everyone,
I'm building my first PC and I'm at the stage of choosing an operating system. I'm choosing windows 7 64 bit as I'm familiar with it from my laptop.
I've found an OEM on Amazon for the above OS (seen here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004Q0PT3I/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for a satisfactory price, however I'm confused trying to find all the facts behind what an OEM is. Apparently they're only for system builders who go on to sell their computers to a third party, however in the past if you were building a computer it was OK to use it for yourself.
I'm really confused; can I use this software on my new PC or not? If so, are there any restrictions? If I install it to my computer will it run perfectly well but I'll technically be violating one of the many paragraphs of lawyer speak in the terms and conditions?
If anyone could give me any answers or helpful tips, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks for reading!
