Having a CPU dilemma

My motherboard died about a month ago and I've decided to wait for haswell to come out so I could buy one of the new Haswell i5's with a Z87 motherboard, however, 2 deals just popped up on newegg and i'm tempted to jump on one (they end tomorrow night!). My budget for a CPU and motherboard is $400 at the highest but I would like to stay under if possible to upgrade my GPU in the future (an extra $50 means the difference between an HD 7870xt and an HD 7950).

The deal i'm really considering is an Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) with an ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 motherboard for $345.

The other deal is an i5-3570k with the same motherboard and 8 gigs of corsair DDR3 ram for $337. (mind you i'd be going from 4x2gigs of ram to 1x8gigs)

I'm not much of an overclocker (as I use all stock cooling) so i'm not sure if a "K" model would benefit me, but would I see a significant improvement between an Ivy Bridge i7 compared to a Haswell i5? I'm just using my computer to play games and record music, no video editing or anything.

Thanks!

Is hoping to get a haswell i5 with a z87 motherboard at launch for under $400 a reasonable expectation? I know they're supposed to launch at around the same price as Ivy Bridge but i'm seeing some pretty sweet deals here. An i5-3570k for a little under $200 is hard to pass up!
