Hi,

I've just built my new pc and now I'm trying to install windows 7 64bit.

Everything is recognized correctly on bios, including my SSD. However, when I try to install windows, it says that it needs some drivers, to insert a cd. There was a cd that came with mobo, but I don't have an optical drive.

I've already tried AHCI mode (recommended) and IDE, same results. When I choose RAID mode it says I should first install raid drivers, that came with the cd.

How do I install the drivers? Can I download from internet to a usb drive and then just load them when windows installation asks for it? If yes, where do I download the drivers from?? If not, how can I do this??

I've tried to open the cd in another computer, but it says something like "this platform is not supported". That happened with 2 different pc's, one with xp, the other with vista. I don't have any other pc.

Please help!

Are you installing windows from a usb drive? make sure you are using a usb 2.0 port if you are.
I had this same problem when reinstalling windows on my laptop, turns out i had the usb drive it a usb 3.0 port and it was actually wanting the usb 3.0 drivers not the actual sata drivers. (And no, the port wasn't blue, at the time i had no idea it was a usb 3.0 port).

omg you saved my life lol

I feel so stupid... It was on a usb 3.0 port! I changed it and it immediately worked, no need for any drivers. I lost like 4h at least trying to get drivers and making this work.

Thank you again! =D
