Hello. I need little help. I had read something about it but it is very confusing.
I have DVI-D dual link cable. My monitor is old one I think Compaq TFT7010 but it
has DVI-D connector. I had used this DVI-D dual link cable with my old
Leadtek 6800 GT with this monitor and it worked all ok. Now I had bought new system with ASUS p5q and Sapphire HD 4830 which have two DVI-I dual link connectors. And this DVI-D dual link cable is NOT working anymore on this monitor
it just goes to sleep. I have to use adapter DVI-A to VGA to work.
So how is possible that DVI-D dual link cable is working on old 6800 Gt and not working on HD 4830 ???
I had ordered about hour ago new DVI-D single link cable.I hope I did not made a mistake and I will not work again Maybe my monitor support only single link?
