I currently have a Westell 7500 DSL Gateway connected to Frontier Communications network and their form of connection is a Routed Bridge. I'm moving from Illinois to South Carolina and getting ATT's DSL service and their form of connection is PPPOE. I believe that my 7500 is a fairly open and configurable device and if I can get the proper settings I can save $100 by using my existing unit instead of buying a new one from ATT. If there's anyone out there that has a 7500 connected to ATT's network that can tell me what I need to change/reconfigure and how to change/reconfigure the 7500 I would greatly appreciate the help.

If att uses ppoe rather than dhcp for ip distribution, you need to manually reset the router with a pin in the reset button on the back for 15 seconds. It will most likely default to ppoe then you need to input the user name and password in the setup screen on the router 192.168.1.1 admin/password. If att uses dhcp, the change wan ip settings to bridge/routed bridge and let modem pull dhcp automatically. Bridge/bridge will Pass dhcp to pc, not secure.
