If you are going to go all the way, the gtx titans in sli will get you much further than the ares 2 will, due to the higher graphics power output per gpu, and because sli kicks amd's crossfire to the curb. However, if i were in your position, if u could wait i would just buy two 780's in sli because they will only be a slight performance drop adn then the dual 780 setup will only cost you 1500 dollars approximately. That by itself will have about 1.5x the performance or more than the ares on most games and applications at the same exact cost.
