My HP Dv6 seems to have crashed and will not boot Windows 7. When I turn it on normally, it will begin to boot and bring up the blinking cursor, but then after 3 seconds it will show a random pixels, symbols, and color rectangles and seems to "crash" but the cursor still blinks.
I am able to load the bios and use the basic features. It has the ability to run HP QuickWeb with it's features and not crash. I have tried booting from a windows 7 recovery disc and the full install disc. I have also tried f11 which is direct to system recovery. The same thing happens as if I was booting from hard drive with the symbols appearing and failure. Is there anything I can do?
