Why does my PC feel more laggy than PS3?

I just made the switch to PC gaming, and built a $800 gaming desktop ($800 not including the monitor and windows 7). I was just wondering, even though I run all of my games between 50-60 FPS, and console runs at 30 FPS, overall console still felt like a smoother experience. Don't get me wrong, I do prefer PC gaming so far, but I wish it could be just as smooth as console, or just as smooth-feeling, to make it even better. Any answers as to why it feels this way would be great?

Consoles have no graphic settings or overclocking so they cater to a fixed preset for all games to basically run the same at 720p medium settings. PC has so many types of configurations you have to manually tweak the settings depending on your resolution to get smooth gameplay. Sounds like it could be multiple reasons your getting what I call stutter. CPU could be one, not all quad cores are alike. I left AMD years ago and couldn't be happier. You have plenty of ram, the graphics card is ok, make sure all your drivers are up to date. Nvidia has a new feature with their newest driver 320.18 called the Geforce experience where it looks at all your games on your rig and has a feature to optimize your settings for your graphics that best...

You used an APU and GPU combo. Your processor might be bottlenecking your GPU when you're gaming on high settings.

I just checked and sure enough I have a new Nvidia driver waiting to be installed. Thanks and I'll be upgrading my CPU to i5-3570k, to compete with my GPU.

The reason is Vsync. If you turn on vsync, you will immediately notice everything will be silky smooth. But you need to use MSI Afterburner to limit your fps in the game to 59, or 74 depending on your monitor's refresh rate. This will fix the input lag associated with vsync.
