hey everyone, I'm pretty new to the DIY building of computers but I created a list of parts from new egg that fits my price range. Its going to be mainly used as a gaming device and I'm posting this to see if anyone can make any improvements or help with possible better parts for a lower cost to this list.

here is my list.

Blue ray player -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136252

And whatever power supply I end up running. Some advice on this build before I spend 1,119$ would be great :D I don't need a fully built game machine but I would like to still play games with graphics on high or ulta if possible for this price range.

Unfortunately I haven't work out how to tell it not recommend Microcenter, so the total should be $1164.53.

You don't really need that pricey a case.

@Someone Somewhere: if you registered for an account, you can filter a list in your profile. Otherwise, if you're a guest, when you're in the "Choose a <something>" pages, there is a Price Filters on the right side (second section). Click the show merchants link and select the merchants you want. Default is All.

You can upgrade to a Radeon HD 7970 or a Radeon HD 7970 GHz and still keep within your $1300 budget. But the above would be more price/performance effective. The HD 7970 is about 20% better than the HD 7950. And the HD 7970 GHz is about 35% better than the HD 7950. I wasn't sure if you really want to max out $1300 so I kept it lower.
