Will i need to reload windows?

just wondering if i get a new MOBO will i need to reload windows to the PC as my MSI B75A-G43's USB ports don't work and i was thinking of upgrading to a As rock Z77 Extreme 4

Maybe. I didn't need to reload windows after a motherboard swap but I did need to reactivate windows.

Yes, you will have to reload windows and the new MB drivers too.

Edit:
Try reloading the drivers on your current MB. Maybe that will fix the problem.

I've done the drivers already, the USB 3 ports have no power at all,( ass in if I plug any USB with and led nothing will happen, no light)

Most systems have a USB 3.0 driver separate from the regular drivers. The system I just built has the usb 2.0 drivers included in the chipset driver. And the usb 3.0 is a separate driver.

Save all your important data and you could try reloading windows. But I suspect that it is a losing cause.
