Should I wait for Broadwell CPUs?

I'm planning a new desktop build for this fall (~September 2013) to replace my aging 5.5 yr old gaming pc. Currently I would purchase an i5-3570k for my new build, but with Broadwell coming out in the near future would it be worth it to wait for the new architecture? I will be using this rig for mostly gaming (Mostly new fps, rpg, and racing games). I'm open to overclocking and am willing to spend around $250 on the cpu. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Haswell is releasing right about now, so Broadwell will be releasing roughly about now next year. IMO, not worth waiting if your building in September.

Nothing is really concrete about Broadwell yet except that it will be a die shrink of the Haswell architecture, but there is talk that with Broadwell Intel will start soldering the CPU the motherboard. It will be unlike current CPU sockets where you can move CPU between boards, it will be permanently fixed into the motherboard, so you buy a motherboard+CPU combo and thats what you have unless you buy another.

Sorry I meant Broadwell, I got my architecture mixed up :pt1cable:. This is a rather silly question considering haswell is slated for release this summer. Do you think the difference between haswell and broadwell will be considerable?

Do you have any details on this, like what makes it non-enthusiast friendly? I haven't been able to find a lot of info on the Broadwell processors. If you have a link that would be awesome.

Jeez, that's really weird to have a combo like that. I know the wait would be long, I guess it's a matter of how long my current desktop can hold on for. I think the latest I would want to build would be around the start of 2014, so broadwell would probably be a little too late. Thanks for the info, it helps a lot!

is this REAL? it can't be! any evidence? if this is true it will be the end of the cpu race. we're screwed or soldered, whichever is worse.
