Well I'm planing to upgrade my cpu to a i5 3570k, I'm just wondering if that would bottleneck my gainwood gtx 650ti? If it does what gpu should I upgrade too? I play most types of games farcry 3, skyrim, simcity etc.. pretty much any game.

My system specs:
Pentium dual core g840
Asrock extreme4 z77
Gainwood gtx 650ti golden sample
Cooler master hyper evo 212+
G.skill ripjaws xl 8gb (2x4gb)
Thermaltake v6 blacx edition
Corsair TX-650m

Thanks for any help, it's appreciated
Regards Tk~

Op may have worded it wrong, but he meant if the gpu is his bottleneck which is why he asked what gpu he should upgrade to. Yes your gpu is the limiting factor. What card you get is dependent on what games you wanna play, the settings you want to play, resolution, and your psu. Your psu looks fine though.

No he worded it right. He wants to upgrade a system with a z77 extreme 4, 650ti, and a g840. He wants to get rid of the g840 and get a 3570k. He worded that correctly. We like his choice, and the comments mean that his system is good but his GPU is the weak link.

So what gpu should I upgrade to? Should I wait for the gtx 700 series to come out then buy a high end gtx 600 since the price MIGHT drop. I also live in Australia so the prices for computer parts are generally more expensive, but I've been able to track down a i5 3570k for $225, brand new.

I usually play on 1600x1200 and sometimes but rarely 1900x1400, as for quality settings medium to high and rarely ultra.

EDIT: I am going to have to upgrade the gpu later
