Hello all,
I just got a new ssd, and after putting it into my pc, i cloned my current windows partition onto it. I then accessed the bios and selected my new ssd as the main boot drive. So far, everything worked perfectly. I could acces all my files.

I then used regedit to change my default users folder from the old hdd to the new cloned one of my ssd, and did the same for appdata. I restarted my pc and still everything worked well. I checked where the programs were running from and it seemed that the programs i intalled ran of the old partition and the windows dependencies of the new ssd. So i decided to format my old hdd so that i would just have to remap shortcuts later, but after that, when i restarted my pc, windows would launch as normal, but bring me on a black screen with only my cursor. I couldnt do anything but press control alt delete, which opened the menu, but non of the buttons worked appart from shutdown.

Does Nyone know how to resolve this? (Backups wont work since i cant acces anything , not even the metro)

And just incase its important, the format was a quick format(dont know, is this usefull?)

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Power up and press Shift and F8 continuously and you might just find the reputed sweet-spot that opens Safe Mode. I haven't found it have but when you see the open screen, hold down Control key and click to Restart then follow the options through Troubleshoot to StartUp options. You might choose to use the Refresh option but you can also take your choice form the usual Safe Mode options.
