Decrease page file size

Basically I am running out of hard drive space on my gaming computer. Things are really starting to lag, so I was thinking decreasing my page file to initial size 512 and maximun 1024.
I have 4gb ram, but it is rubbish ddr2 and quite old.
And will it really increase my performance?

I have ccleaner and use it all of the time but it really does not seem to help me on this one.

Decreasing your page file will most likely have negative implications due to the speed of your ram. I would recommend disabling hibernate first (if you havent already).
