OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: (ASUS P5N-MX LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 7050 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard. Processor:Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz Ram: 2gb ddr2)

PARTS PREFERENCES: NVIDIA because AMD is not compatible with the chipset

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (1680x1050)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am just looking to make a small upgrade to this older computer to get it to run older games. Any help is appreciated. I have found a few cards, but I need to know which ones I will get the most bang for my buck. Feel free to recommend any other options. Obviously the less money that I can spend the better.

If the processor will bottleneck the card then obviously there should be a cheaper/ lower card in the hierarchy. Thank you for any help.

I would use an AMD Radeon HD but last time I tried to install an AMD gpu and it didn't work. I then looked it up and apparently the nVidia chipset on my mobo only allows NVIDIA cards.
But thanks for telling me about the 560SE being bad.

EDIT: What exactly isn't good about the normal 650? Also am I mistaken about AMD? Will an AMD card work with the mobo chipset (NVIDIA GeForce 7050 / nForce 610i Chipset)? Maybe the card I got last time was just bad.
