Depends. There is ALWAYS a risk involved in overclocking.

Post a link to your exact model GPU. Need to know what cooler it has and that sort of thing.
The question you should be asking yourself is WHY do you want to overclock?

As said above if you do it patiently it can be done with LITTLE risk.
