Alright so first off I'll say that the mb I need help with is the ASUS Crosshair V Formula. (Not the formula-Z). I cant seem to get the correct driver for the board that will get it to recognize that there is an Ethernet cord hooked up. Luckily this is a minor inconvenienced given that I have a network card attached and that works for now.

For reference to the drivers I need help with go to this link:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/CROSSHAIR_V_FORMULA/#support_Download_30

So this website currently has 5 drivers to use. I've downloaded the first two and extracted them and used the setup application file within but neither are working. I do not have the original cd to install the drivers so I need another way.

Since I am upgrading my SSD, which is the reason for this reinstall of windows, I was also wondering if there was a way to just copy the drivers file or setup application from my old SSD and transfer them to the new one via my HDD. However I'm not sure how this would work to where to find them.

Another thing that I've tried is opening up the device manager. In here it shows a yellow triangle symbol indicating a driver for the ethernet port has not been found. I have tried the option that is suppose to automatically find the driver via the internet but it always cannot find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I have provided enough information to understand where i'm at with this problem.

Way ahead of you. I have done that multiple times. for some reason it just wont find the right driver. It exists, it worked for my old drive.

So after a lot of toying around with this issue I found that i had to download an older version of the driver. I saved it to the desktop and then in the device manager window i told it to update the driver software. I had to manually tell it that the driver was on the desktop but it is now working.
