Price jump on ram? Anybody know why?

I've been looking at some old pricing statistics of ram kits and ram kits with around 16-64 gigs has gone up tremendously over the last few months. Like, $70 more.

Does anybody know why, or have a hunch why? I thought the Hard drives going up because of the tsunami would be the only price jump, of this scale at least.

The price has jumped because of all the mobile devices using different types of RAM. Because companies are producing more mobile ram they cant make as much of normal ram. Less supply means prices go up.

Ahh, well damn. Kind of sucks that the prices are just going to blow off roof come summer which is when I want to build a new rig. :(
