shuttle ax3850 has 2 DVI conn, will these drive a CRT using dongle

Just got a used XPC 38P2 PRO Shuttle form my son. 2008 vintage. He has flat screens I have graphics CRT. It ran when he shipped it. It wont run my CRT. I get "NO SYNC"on the CRT. The power light comes on and The HDD cycles and the fans run.
Any ideas????

So your CRT is connected via a DVI-to-VGA cable? Then try the other DVI port. The card has one DVI-I port that combines the DVI- and VGA-signal, but the other is a DVI-D port that has only the digital signal.

You are correct but even when connected to the DVI-I port I get a quick flicker as I apply power to the shuttle but no video and no sync. Thanks for the suggestion/.
