Is my PSU safe to use with a Haswell?

When the new Haswell is released I want to upgrade my i7 2600k with the new i7 4770k (if thats what its called) I know i need a new motherboard but can I use a PSU that doesn't say its compatible with the Haswell chip set or do I need a compatible one? Thanks.

i wouldnt buy a new psu

even if your psu cant handle the low power state with haswell

just go in the bios and disable the C6 and C7 power states

Well I'm thinking that I need the Haswell ready one but I'm on a tight budget and I was just wondering if I could keep £79.99 and just use my XFX 550w Core that I already have installed.

I never really took any time to think about that thanks, I'm going to eventually change my PSU as I would like to get myself a 780 at the end of the year or next year. But thanks for the help you just saved me £79.99!
