FSP Power Supplies not compatible with Gigabyte Motherboards?

This is the first time I've heard this. I called my trusted retailer today to order a new power supply (namely FSP Raider 650w). Fortunately, the PSU is available. After confirming my reservation, they asked what board I am using the power supply with then when I told them I am using a gigabyte board, they told me that it in incompatible to boards of the said manufacturer.

I'm really not sure, but as far as I know there shouldn't be any problems with that.

I know that FSP might look the underdog when it comes to seasonic and corsair (well, not sure about corsair. I've experienced and heard issues with some of their units), but there are very good reviews regarding their PSUs.

Anyways, would you please focus on answering the question?

I checked several different sites, including the manufacturer website. It's a straight 24-Pin connector as oposed to a 20+4-Pin connector. The Gigabyte board requires a 24-Pin connector. no issues there. the 2x 12VATX connect to form an EPS. no issues there. there's 2x 6+2-Ping connectors for video cards. no issues there. I see no incompatibility. Maybe they have a new person, or they forgot to take their meds?
