After setting Safe Mode to stay on.... so no matter what my computer tries to load into safe mode. As it loads, it freezes on classpnp.sys.

I've tried this fix I've googled.

Enter the command prompt:

Starts as X:\Sources> and I enter "rename c:\windows\system32\drivers\classpnp.sys classpnp.old".

But when I do this, the command prompt tells me it cannot find the specified path.

Am I doing something wrong? Could that file just not exist any more? I believe Driver Sweeper did something to my computer and now I've lost everything.... :(

Put you win installation cd, boot from cd, choose repair console. Then type chkdsk /r and hit enter. This will run checkdisk utility and correct any problems. Then try to boot into safe mode. It should pass this time.
