I have installed 2 kits of 2x4 corsair ram sticks into my motherboard (they are compatible), installed windows, updated to the newest MB BIOS and just about everything I could think of, but sometimes when I'm playing games, or browsing the net my computer gives me a bluescreen saying that I have a memory problem. The computer then reboots and I can continue from where I left off. This, however, is annoying and probably bad for my hardware. I have run the memory test from windows, but it just says i have a problem with my memory and that I need to contact my computers manufacter (I built the computer myself... so no help to get there...)
The computer works fine otherwise, and from what I've been able to gather on the interwebs, it seems that I might need to configure my DRAM speed/voltage under the BIOS. I went in and it says my RAM is running at 1.514v (the RAM is set at 1.5v from corsair.) the speed was set to 1334 (or something like that i believe) Should i change it to 1637?
My RAM is: http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9.html

Other specs are:
Intel i7-3770k
OCZ SSD
Samsung HDD
ASUS P8P67 EVO
XFX Radeon HD 7950 DD Black Edition
XFX Pro 650W (PSU)

Any help in fixing this memory problem would be great.

Its possible you've got a bad stick. Try setting everything back to factory/stock in your bios, check in Windows that it is detecting all sticks properly and Voltage and Frequency etc is all as it should be as per the specs of our RAM. Then try using 2 sticks at a time (in their purchased kits) and do your Memory tests to see if you can isolate which is the problem. Hopefully you'll be stable with one of the kits in. Just return the kit with the bad stick for a new one.

Mixing two kits together is not guaranteed to work. Memory module compatibility is guaranteed within a specific memory kit.

The modules include a XMP performance profile. You can also manually set the memory clock, timings, and DRAM voltage.

It seems I was a little unclear in what I wrote... When I said they were compatible, I meant they were on the QVL, not that there was a guarantee that they would work together :) I'll try running the program and see if it fixes anything

Windows is saying i have 16gb of RAM, so pretty certain that means they are detected. Gonna see if I can isolate the problem (if it is in fact a DOA stick)
