Hello Tom's Hardware, first time poster.

I have an ASUS CM1831(https://www.asus.com/Desktops/CM1831/)

and I am wondering if the 1831 would support a EVGA GeForce GTX660 (SuperClocked by the EVGA)

I have an upgraded 450w power supply but am unsure about the video card.

From the ASUS website it gave me this for the expansion slot information:

Expansion Slots
2 x PCI
1 x PCI-e x 1
1 x PCI-e x 16

Thank you for your time and guildance.

Your problem isn't going to be the PCI-e slot (which is fine for any PCI-e based GPU), but the PSU. I'm betting that the "350w" PSU doesn't even come with a PCI-e power connector needed to power the GTX 660. I would replace the PSU with a quality unit of at least 400-500w from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, PCP&C, or XFX.

If you can get the $20 MIR, I've listed a perfect PSU for the $:

$70 - $15 off w/ promo code EMCXRVS66 - $20 MIRc = $35!!!
CORSAIR CX500M 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

or

$50 - $10 MIRc = $40
CORSAIR CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
