Ok so here is my story. I have horrible Cox cable internet. I am running a Motorola SBG6580. I have called Cox numerous times and have gone through about 5 different router / modem combinations.
So here is what is happening. Every hour and I mean every hour to the minute I will have one computer that will drop internet. The dialogue will pop up down in the tray with the yellow triangle and exclamation point for about 5 seconds or so and then it will hook right back up. No other computer is affected, just one. If this desktop is powered down then anoher device will experience the same issue. So once again it is just one computer not all of them. Cox says that it is my issue and that I need to fix it.
So I am at a loss on how to fix this problem. If anyone has any suggestions I would be more than willing to listen to them.
