Hi everyone,

This is my first gaming rig that I'll be building. I've been saving up for quite a while to put this all together. I was wondering if any of you could take a look over my set-up and critique it or offer me help and/or suggestions.

I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Here is a link to the set-up:

There are some things to which could be done to improve the build. This would be my suggestion:

Cheaper, equally good CPU and motherboard, better quality PSU, drastically more powerful GPU, and slightly lower in price.

However, it bears mentioning that the new Intel processors (Haswell) will be coming out in about a week. I would definitely recommend waiting.

Hi Jack!
Thanks for the helpful input. I was wondering, if overall all my parts would be able to fit in my PC? And also, after the new intel processors come out, will the i7 go down a lot in price? Should I be able to upgrade to that (i7) without spending that much more once the new processors are released? And would using two 660's instead of the 7970 be more powerful? Thanks again! Anymore advice and help would be greatly appreciated!

Happy to help.
You have a fairly huge full tower case there, so you shouldn't have any trouble fitting your parts inside.
To the best of my understanding, Intel has a policy against decreasing processor prices. I have no idea why. You would likely be best advised to simply get a 4670k, which should outperform a 3770k for gaming anyway.
