complete computer recovery

used disc image with complete backup to restore. did not back up current data. is there any way to recover to before restore condition?

If you used the windows disk installation disk, its very unlikely as all data on your Primary hard drive is purged then overwritten this would mean the change is permanent . If you have a HDD rather than a SSd their is a small chance some data could be recovered though http://www.piriform.com/recuva . You should have used system restore to roll back and save your files rather than using the install disk.

When you "image" a disk, you effectively wipe the entire target disk and replace it with the image of the disk as it was when the image was made, so the likelihood of being able to retrieve the data is not very good.

You could try a file recovery program like RecoverMyFiles or follow the link The_Doctor provided. I have used RecoverMyFiles with varying success, but never to complete satisfaction.
