I have a Gigbyte K8nXP-sli mobo.
About a week ago it started acting up and I lost the video signal. Tried subsituting a different monitor with the same results.
Immediately suspected a failed graphics card. Purchased a new one it arrived a day ago. Installed the new card, same results.
Tested PSU-ok, Tested RAM in another PC-ok, substituted CPU-no change. Unplugged all peripherals , still no boot up. Jumpered CMOS, no change. Replaced dead CMOS battery, no change.
When you turn pc on, all the fans work, you can hear dvd-rom check, hdd start, but there are no beeps and still no video.
Could it be a failed mobo?

From everything you stated in your testing, you've concluded all but one component that works....The motherboard. Looks to me like that's the culprit. I've had a similar problem once - system fans, lights work but no boot and it was the Mobo

I think your right, can't see it being anything else.
I found a working one on Ebay for about 60 bucks, it would making replacement a no brainer, but not sure I want the same model.
