Hello everybody ...
I overclocked My GTX 650 up to 6000mhz memory ( stock is 5000mhz).
and up to 1311mhz clock ( Stock is 1111mhz) ...however, I maxed the fan speed keeping the card as cool as possible ..
my card runs perfectly right now ... I played battlefield 3 for an hour of an average of 50 fps ... 1080p ... all medium . max temp was 60.
now I just need to know if I can keep this way or the card is going to surprise me by exploding ?...xD .. i am thinking of even going further with that main clock !
I just need to keep this card alive for next 5 month then I am going to change it with the CPU also ..
another question about my CPU , it is an i3 2120 ... of-course its on stock clocks .. than fan is maxed .. but at full load the temp excesses 60... I've just changed the heat sink yesterday ... is this normal ??
thanks a lot ...

It'll be fine as long as the fan doesn't give out. (which it shouldn't even if you ran it 100% for a couple years)

and man... that must be loud lol.

thanks a lot my friend ...
couple of years ? that is more than enough for a low-end gfx like this one ... xD
and about the loud ... it is so quiet ... I don't hear more than whispering ..
but do you think the situation is also okay for the cpu ?
thanks again

60C under load for the CPU is very acceptable. My guideline is that if it doesn't go over 85-90C on the CPU, it's fine. (CPUs are generally able to stand up to 100C+ for a while before they start to degrade)

But ya. The manufacturer's warranty should cover fans if they fail even if you ran it above stock speeds.

I think he meant GPU. CPUs it depends on what it is. For most intel I don't like to see them go past 70c (even if technically it doesn't hurt them much) for AMD CPUs I refuse to go over 60c. GPUs I fine 85c to be my limit in temps.

This might be personal preference, take it how you see fit. Just don't go over manufacture specs and you'll do great. I would run furmark for stress testing. Also you can create custom fan curves with MSI Afterburner. Or other various programs like it so that the fan doesn't drive you up a wall.

thanks alot my friend ..
for the gpu side , I think that I extremely overclocked it .. but as I mentioned before , I don't need it more than few months , it is a low-end budgeted GPU anyway.. I am planing to have A GTX660ti coming months .. I am just surprised with it's performance (the gtx650) and it's capability of overclocking ..
for the CPU side , it is the only thing that looks up-normal to me because on stock clocks and maxed fan speed it should not excesses 50 or 55 degree ... other way I am going to have a fight with who I bought it from .. xD
but as mr.killerhurtalot said , it is normal .. I am considering his statement because I am not experienced with sandybridge cpus ...
thanks again ..
