Hey guys,
I need help overclocking my intel core sandy bridge i7 2600k. I cant seem to find any threads or links regarding my cpu and motherboard. I dont understand what to change in the bios.
I have the Gigabyte GA z77-hd4 motherboard and I need help guys! I just need to know what settings to change in the bios such as voltage etc?

Hmm....

I would say that you can overclock to around 4.3-4.4ghz... but it's gonna require a good bit of tweaking.....

You can do 4.2 ghz really easily though.... all you have to do is change the cpu multiplier/ratio to 42 in the bios and keep stock voltage and it should be stable as a rock lol.

pretty much.... that would be a very safe overclock for your processor (from my experience at least)

I would still suggest you run prime95 for about an hour or two just to stress test the CPU in case the specific cpu isn't that great of a quality.
