Hey everyone,

I have been searching for this issue and getting a lot of people with different problems and not quite what I need help with...

Pretty much this is my setup...
Graphics Card - Ati HD7870
Main Monitor - HDMI Connection
2nd Monitor - DVI Connection
3rd Monitor - Mini-DP to DVI Connection (Active Adapter)

Pretty much what happens is once I turn my pc on, monitor 1 and monitor 2 both come on and show the same thing (Bios Bootup), once that is complete monitor 2 will go dark and monitor 1 will show my login to windows 7. Once logged in monitor 1 takes priority showing my desktop and monitor 2 will switch on as my extended desktop.

This whole time monitor 3 does not turn on and just stays dark, as if the signal is not coming through at all. What I have to do to get the 3rd monitor working is to get up and unplug the active adapter to my video card and plug it back in, then monitor 3 will turn on and extend my desktop to the right.

What is weird is if I am to restart my pc, the 3rd monitor will not drop out and will boot up the same as the 2nd monitor until I log in then it extends my desktop without me having to unplug and plug back in the cable.

It is not a massive issue but all this unplugging/plugging cables in will eventually destroy the port and my adapter and I am looking for a fix, I am unsure if it is a video card issue or adapter issue.

The adapter uses USB as its power source but that is one of the first things to bootup and my USB ports stay powered even after shutdown.

Any help would be great and appreciated.
