Hi,
I just recently started getting a black screen when I boot up my HP dm4 2070us.
I woke up one morning with my laptop laying beside me on my desk and the laptop was turned on, with the lid shut.. and when I opened the lid the screen was black.
I know for a fact I put it to sleep before I went to bed the night before.
Anyway, I forced a shut down, then a reboot, and I first got the black screen.
I've taken it apart to see if there were any visible signs of overheating, but none.
I am honestly not sure what to do now, are there any ideas?
Here are the rest of the specs for my PC.
Intel Core i5-2410M Processor 2.30 GHz
6GB DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000
640GB (5400RPM)
If there is any other information needed, I would definitely be able to provide it.
Oh, and I did have another brand new hard drive a pal let me use that he had not event taken out of the box, and when I plugged it in it stated that the drive was not bootable. I assumed if I used it then I would be prompted to install and OS on it, but wasn't.
I feel kind of hopeless here, thanks for reading.
