Hello there i want to ask if i can get any help from anywhere to get help to get my account name back a friend of myn is trying to help me by making this post which explains the issue Thanks for looking. I never Changed my name or Region.
It all started when he (Summoner name: Gangster) tried to log in one day and his password did not work and the game told him that his account was "transferred to another region". My friend has a degree as a Network Specialist, has been fixing computers for the last 5 years, never had a keylogger or clicked on suspicious links, and he recently reinstalled his operating system. It is not likely that his account was compromised.
Apparently, Coronach (a former Riot employee, http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Steven_%27Coronach%27_DeRose) changed his summoner name to Gangster (my friend's old summoner name). We have no idea how this happened. He has already emailed Riot support but they are not doing anything about this as of yet. He would like some insight into this matter from a Rioter since there are so many that read Reddit.
PROOF: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/216#history (As of May 27, clicking on Coronach's name in this guy's match history redirects to http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/631 (Gangster) and the champions played between this new 'Gangster' and Coronach match up.) This only happens on LoLKing when someone recently changes their summoner name and their old name sticks around in the LoLKing match history for a few days/weeks. This makes us suspicious that something must have went awry in Riot's database. Being a former Riot employee, Coronach, may have insight into how and why this was done.
