Windows 7 wont connect to internet

I tried plugging it into my router and D Link but in both cases nothing shows up. I did a google search suggesting to go to Network Sharing Center > Change Adapter but nothing was there.

My computer:
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
Windows 7 64bit
8 GB ram
Intel I5 3750K

Few quick questions
1. Have you got up to date antivirus enabled ?
2. By plugging into router do you mean you have tried connecting by both ethernet and wireless (if appropriate)?
3. What is your wireless adapter (If appropriate) if so is it integrated
4. You updated any drivers recently

1. Probably not since this pc was never connected to the internet before
2. Ethernet yes. My computer has no wireless adapter in it.
$. Windows & was just installed on the computer today.
