Looking to upgrade my graphics card since my existing one is so very old, Photoshop etc won't use it to improve performance.
My hardware knowledge gets updated so very rarely.

Mobo: Gigabyte Z68X-UD5.
Current GPU is points of View, NVidia 7300GS (I think) approx 6/7 years old!

Just from a budget perspective and seeing what;s available (+ option in future to use multiple displays) I almost decided on the :
Gigabyte NVidia 650 1GB card : GV-N650OC-1GI ~ £87
but then saw
2Gb version : GV-N650OC-2GI ~ only a bit more £102
but then saw
Ti 1Gb verson : GV-N65TOC-1GI ~ £108

well - you know how it goes.
Ti 2Gb card is a bit of a jump after that.

Think I'll stick to that kind of level. But was looking for advice : for mostly Photo editing and the occasional Video editing (hardly ever play games or 3D) - which is likely to be better - the 650 with 2Gb, or the 650 Ti with 1Gb ?
Can't find any direct comparisons online.

TIA

I'm upgrading as there are several GPU performance updates in both Photoshop CS6 and NIK collection Plugins which I can't utilise with my existing card - they're greyed out.

Worth mentioning also - I use Nik Color Efex / Silver Efex plugin which is GPU accelerated.
Have seen a mention of it topping 1Gb!

Done fair bit of investigations and getting conflicting opinions 650 2Gb vs 650 ti 1Gb still.
Most games forums say the ti, but one or two photoshop or multi monitor posts say vram

"I opted for the GTX 650 2GB (non-ti) card and I think it's a good choice. The 2GB of video RAM may seem like overkill... unless you use Nik's Color Efex Pro 4 or Photohop's Pixel Bender plugin. These plugins will consume nearly all the onboard memory the card has. My old system, with the GT 440 1GB card, would frequently not operate at all in Pixel Bender, and sometimes the GPU accelerated features in Photoshop would just stop working. These annoyances are now a distant memory."

along those lines the GTX 650 ti Boost 2gb is the best value for dollar (or euro) on the market today and i like mine very much. would a CPU upgrade make sense or do you have an adequate one?
