Hi im still running my core 2 machine and i play games such as blacklight retribution l4d2 ut3 and startrek online, i was wondering weather or not i should swap my e6750 plus £10 for a e7400

I thought that but i was told by a collage tutor that i would get a performance boost but looking at the 2 theres only a 0.6 frame differance in games
Well in that case if anyone knows were i can get a cheap core 2 quad to go with my asus gt 630 it would be much aprecciated as im an engineer and dont have enough cash to build a newer rig

The Q6600 is a great low cost quad core.

They're both good, but the extra 5 is really, really worth the extra overclockability of the Q6600 and better factory speed.

If it is compatible with your motherboard (check!) then yes, it is better than the Q6600.
