Will my Corsair GS800 PSU be enough for a single GTX 680?

Later this year, I plan on upgrading my GPU from a GTX 570 to a GTX 680, but I'm not sure about the power requirements. One of my friends has said that I'll need a more powerful PSU for the 680, but research has shown otherwise. I also intend to overclock both the GPU and CPU (i5-3570K), so I'm sure that has to be taken into consideration. Any help on the matter would be appreciated!

MOOOOORE than enough, LOL you have more than 250W to spare. Oh and the GTX680 is less than 10% better than a GTX670, so pointless spending so much more for it. Jump to a GTX780 or stick with a GTX670. Or on the other hand get an HD7970 GHz that is faster AND cheaper than the GTX680.

Thanks for the info! After doing a bit of digging, I'm actually thinking I'll try for the HD 7970 (normal, for manual overclocking). The power of the card seems like it'd overall be more worth the money. It also helps to know that my PSU will be more than sufficient to run it!

No problem. THat is a good decision me thinks!

The processor is a haswell 4670k. I am getting the second 780 when the first one is obsolete. The reason i am spending less on this is because i am trying to make a SLI ready 780 build under $1500. Soooo yeah...

Power supply is the last place you need to reduce cost. Its the cornerstone of a good build.
Get something better to avoid issues.

That is a good PSU but will it be enough for two 780's? I mean, isn't that just the bare minimum? I read on a website ( i think it was hardwaresecrets) bout how much psu watts each gpu should get. It said 850 for the SLI 780. PcPartpicker says that the system with SLI 780 will use ~715W. Is it a good idea to get the TX750?

The TX750 V2 actually delivers over 900w. Its very underrated. Typical Seasonic PSUs...
