Done tons of google searching on this issue, but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Which is better between the two?

Nvidia's own pages don't help, claiming Ion2 is 10x better than integrated graphics and that GT 520M is 2x better....but they don't mention WHICH integrated graphics they're referring too.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The ION 2 has only 16 Shader, at 400Mhz.
The GT 520M has 48 Shaders at 800Mhz.

The ION 2 is comparing itself to the old Intel GMA graphics.
The GT 520m is being compared to intel's newer HD2000 graphics.

On average the GT 520m is between 3.5x and 5x faster than the ION 2.

Thanks for the post. You rock! Makes my decision to upgrade from a Zotac ZBox ID41 to an ID80 much easier.

ID41:
1.8Ghz Dual-Core Intel Atom D525
Nvidia ION2

ID80:
2.13Ghz Dual-Core Intel Atom D2700
Nvidia Gt 520M
