Standard PSU wires are 18 gauge and are rated up to 300V. However the most volts a PSU pushes is 12V. However the 12V rail on your PSU pushes a max of 34 amps. However, due to the large amount of 18 gauge cables and the relatively short distance, the PSU can push 34 amps just fine.

Now what is your PSU missing, is it the 12V 4 or 8 pin CPU power cable, or is is something else you are trying to power?

Silverstone states a maximum draw of 4 Amps for the AC Input for the Strider Essential ST50F-ES when using a 230Vac wall outlet.

I don't live in a locale that uses 230Vac. If your AC power cords have a fuse built into the plug then I would recommend at least one with an 8 Amp fuse.

At your power draw level you shouldn't have a problem.

At the maximum, that SilverStone stated, the 8 Amp fuse rating is recommended to be able to properly handle the large inrush current that occurs when the power supply is turned on so that the fuse doesn't prematurely burn out during normal use.
